Crysis 2 FPS capped at 50 with V-sync

Why is the FPS capped on 50 with v-sync?

specs:

gpu: gtx 690
cpu: 4770k @ 3.5 Ghz
motherboard: Asus maximus VI hero
ram: Dominator platinum 1866 Mhz (2x8192 mb)

V-sync works by capping the FPS to the same as your monitor refresh rate (Hz) in order to avoid any screen tearing from the game updating faster than your monitor.

What monitor do you have? I'm assuming you have your monitor in a 50hz setting, you should look at the settings for your monitor refresh rate and see if you can increase it.

Right click desktop > screen resolution > advanced settings > Monitor > Screen refresh rate

I have a 60 Hz monitor. BenQ GL2750. I get 60 FPS in all other games. but not Crysis 2.

It's been a problem with the Crysis series. When the game uses DX10 or11.
