I just bought a gigabyte g1 gaming Gtx 970 and Crysis 3 in lagging like hell. I do get 60 fps on very high settings with Fxaa at 1080p but as soon as i turn around the mouse i get to 40 or something and the lag is very significant. In firefights it gets to 30, I have a core i5 4670 with 8gb ddr3 ram
Help guys is it my recently bought Gpu? Is it defected?
P.S Shadow of mordor gave me 80 avg fps at ultra settings and AC unity gives minimum 35 fps at 1080p TxAA Ultra high settings. Help guys!

Cyrsis 3 is an extremely demanding game and all the reviews show that just about every card not in sli/crossfire struggles. So it seems to me what you're seeing is normal and if you don't believe me just look online at some reviews because just about everyone still uses that game for testing GPU performance.

Look at this

58 minimum Fps!

it gives 80 plus fps at 1080p very high and Fxaa, do you still not believe me? I see you also have a gtx 970. Have you tried running crysis 3?

WTF is wrong with you? I have a core i5 4670, 8gb ddr3 and a Gigabyte Gtx 970.

Not trying to start a arguement but RAM faster than 1333 mhz has little to no gaming performance benefits unless you are using a APU, which he is clearly not. Motherboards have no affect on gaming performance at all. But yes i agree that the CPU at 4.2 GHZ would help him achieve the higher fps. He just needs to make sure he has all the right drivers installed and cut out downloading all the filthy hentai

Lol, mad.

What has downloading got to do with gaming? I have 1 tb hard disk and 400gb is free

I said stop downloading "the filthy hentai" impliying that you may have viruses, bloatware or similar installed applications

Again wtf is wrong with you? You a noob or something? My Cpu has a turbo boost upto 3.8 Ghz, do 400 Mhz make such a difference that he can get 80 plus Fps and i cant even get 60 fps steady? Go watch some youtube videos and educate yourself!! Anyone with a core i5 and a gtx 970 easily gets 50 plus steady Fps!!! Research before you start making fun of others. Okay?? And ram has got nothing to do with gaming!

Okay i will run an antivirus scan, thank you

This still doesnt answer why im getting 30 fps

I cant post a screen shot as im not using my pc right now, Im using Txaa 2 with very high graphics settings at 1080p

Which graphics drivers are you using? Have you manually updated the NVidia drivers to the latest version?

Yes a motherboard that was "old as fuck" would affect performance, but not once based on the same Z77 platform, Any Mobo on Z77 all give the same gaming performance

These are the settings im using

yes i have manually updated the graphics card drivers to 347.9

Just noticed you're post but while I do have Crysis 3 I haven't played that game in a long time. However I will download it tonight and send you a PM with what I get unless someone provides that information before I can. Also according to the link you sent me that's set on high and not very high so that would make a difference. I'll download it shortly and try out the settings as listed on this page.

Thanks man, send me a pm when you try the game. your help is appreciated

That's great news! So maybe the difference was using TXAA2 instead of FXAA?

The difference was cleaning my system. Txaa2 uses much more resources than Fxaa
