Crysis 3 stuttering

I play Crysis 3 on my Ryzen 3 1200,RX 460 4GB,8GB RAM and HDD.My settings are very high with SMAA2TX at 1920x1080.I get above 30 fps in the second and most stressful level of the game.However in the whole game my FPS drops from stable 30 to 20 with a drop in GPU utilisation.I didn't notice such frequent drops in any of the videos I've seen.Also in the ROOT OF ALL EVIL level the game is totally unplayable as the drops get unbearable.I have tried high performance mode in windows and overclocking my CPU to 3.8GHz but it has no effect.Please help.

Hi ishaankaushik,

Playing at 1080p your GPU will help but its mostly CPU bound so you could try an OC and maybe squeeze out a couple more FPS. You're pretty much getting expected fps, see this review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaITwoNq0YU, if you want more FPS either lower settings or upgrade your hardware.

Dont expect ultra from rx 460, I could max out at rx 480 without smaa (smaa is cpu bound if im right).
Yeah and Crysis is still the game that brings hardware to the knees.

But what I want to know is that how my system managed to perform well in the WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE level which is the most intense level of the game according to all benchmarks?

I didn't know that ,thanks for telling.I noticed an interesting thing.My hdd was working at SATA 2 speeds which was causing the stutters though I am not sure.My hard disk is a SATA 3.Also I will try lowering my settings a bit to get good frames.Thanks for the help.

I have stuttering too (alongside many other games) with my GTX 1070 and Ryzen 5 1600 @3.8 GHz with the latest version of Windows, Drivers, Motherboard BIOS, playing at Ultra settings and SMAA2TX and 1920x1080, more than 60 fps but stutters after loading the match and later It stutters randomly, I don't know if is because Ryzen CPU or if it happens too with Intel users.
