Crysis and crysis warhead will not play is it my motherboard or possibly gpu?

Hi again everyone! I just got crysis pack off of origin I have played them all except the wars and warhead.
So I thought I would start from crysis. it will not load(black screen) I have a asus M5a99x evo r2.0 board
wndows 7 ultimate 64
Asus m5a99x evo r2.0
8gigs ram
fx 6300
700w psu corsair
gtx 660 oc edition
I have tried all the patches and all settings crysis will not load(I tried all internet ideas).
I had extra parts and board laying around
p5wd2 premium motherboard
windows 7 ultimate 64
gtx 650
3.9 ghz socket 939 chip
6 gigs ddr2
500w psu
game loaded up and played fine. crysis wars played fine also.
I did all this same day all codecs are up to date.
Is it possible its the new gpu, should I even try to put the gtx 650 in the new system or I have a couple of gtx 460s laying around also.

so by black screen you mean no signal type of black screen or just a game crash type of black screen where u can use alt + tab or alt+ctrl + del ?

Yes I installed everything from the motherboard cd/dvd, and yes the black screen where the programs stops running and I need to ctrl,alt,delete.
I have NOT tried to update my bios, I still have all the books and cds, so I will check to see how much of a task it is.
I have never done that so I dont want to get it over my head.
I will try that now thanks.

BIOS is no big deal, and might check the mobo website for the latest drivers, oft times by the time you get the mobo the drivers on the CD/DVD are already out of date

I have I story I had 11 games on my pc and all did not work 2 of them crisis and crisis warhead.
I don't now how I thort of it but I did a fresh install of windows only putting motherboard driver and sound card on and all of my games work end of story.
