Hey guys I just found this Pc on the HP website and was wondering what graphics it could run crysis on?
My specs are:

Solution
If you only plan on using this comp for gaming(or anything that uses 4 threads or less) it would be much cheaper to get a core i7 930.
The GTX 260 would probably be able to play crysis at 1920X1080 on enthusiast settings with 20fps(my 280 only gets about 25fps at those settings). A 5850/5870 setup would be much better for gaming + you get DX 11 :D .

KK look. The 260 is amazing. But for the price or a BIT higher u can get a 5850 or 5770, and usually RETAIL computers have reallly crappy power supplies. I think i would find thousands of people that would prefer custom over HP OR DELL or such crap. Sorry lol.

The only better quad core out there is the Core i7 975 EE. The Core i7 960 is a beast in the quad core world

The HD 5870 is almost double the speed of the GTX 260, AND it has DX11 support, 40nm, less power hungry etc.

It up to you. The GTX 260 will do a very good job with Crysis, and if you want to upgrade in the future to the world's fastest GPU's and do tri or quad SLi/Xfire, then better get the PC with the i7 980x. Bu i say get the PC with the i7 960 and HD 5870 and you won't have headaches for any game at least another 3-4 years and will play all the upcoming games in Full HD (if you have the monitor:))

If you are buying this for gaming you are overpaying. Mainly because of the CPU, its overkill.

You could get the same exact gaming performance for around $1000 less.

I suggest finding a system with i7 920, i7 930, i7 860, or i5 750, and a couple 5870s. It'll cost about the same and you'll get at least a 100% increase in gaming performance.
