crysis benchmark: shaders quality: veryhigh, all the others setting: high, no AA, 1280x1024
(That is not even full very high quality)
crysis10_hdr.gif

25.8fps average is not even close to playable mate, and minimum 11fps(this results are from the first level, Imagine when you play more demanding levels (in terms of graphics) with big fights and explosions going on, you will get around 8-10fps :D

You can see in this benchmark that the 4890 gets 24.3fps(veryhigh DX10, 1680x1050, no AA).
Only the 4870x2 and GTX295 can play crysis on veryhigh with playable fps. And do not say that 25fps(with minimum 11fps) is playable because that is wrong.

Yeah right, 16x Anisotropic
Oh and I too get 25fps avg. but 20fps min. and its playable. And I already said that I'd lower settings in more demanding levels. So read carefully before you post something.
What are your specs. by the way?

I do not understand how can you play with 25fps??? Everything below 35fps is just NOT fun to play with. Why you don’t lower your setting to high quality and get 40fps is mach better (ok I understand that veryhigh looks a lot better than high but veryhigh is just not playable with your card, so your only option here is to use high setting).

I'll show you a game running at 60fps and one and 100fps, and if you are able to tell me which one is running at 100fp I'll cut my left nut :ange:

^ That chart is really outdated, or just plain wrong. I got 35-40 average fps when I had a single 9800GTX in Crysis, 1280x1024, everything except post processing turned to Very High and AA usually around 2x or 4x.

speaking of post-processing, my old 9600gt made my eye bleed with that option (high or very high) turned on. along with any other fps/shooter game with postprocessing (medal of honor airborne, gears of war).

switching to a 4850 then a 4870 somehow made me post-processing tolerant.

i dont recommend your suggestion though, you might be doing those 4xAA @ dx9 which is already pushin it, not dx10. thats an overestimation.

Why are you all so picky? ffs i had to try and play crysis warhead on low everythong with core 2 duo 2.8ghz, nVidia geforce 7100, 4 gb ram 400mhz. I got something like a max of 11 fps . I have extremely good eyesight and i dont complain. Its hard to gauge what you get by your system, It sounds like bs. Im getting a i7 860 , hd 5870, 850w psu, and 4 gb 1600mhz ram, I dont expect more than 30+ FPS on max setting no AA , Is this correct?
