Hello, I curiously checked Speccy a few hours ago, and it said that my HDD status was set to "Warning", yet all of the attributes on it were marked as "Good". I installed CrystalDiskInfo, and it's set to "Caution", mentioning two attributes.

First, here's Speccy's results:

Would appreciate knowing what this means for my HDD. Had it for almost 10 years, but still works fine for the most part. However, I must mention that since I'm using a laptop and on Windows 7, when I go to Hibernate, I've been hearing this snapping sound right before the machine powers off. Is this a cause for concern? Of course, I know well enough to start making backups, but when should I run off to get a replacement HDD?

Thank you so much.

Solution
Do it now.
When it goes bad it'll get increasingly harder and more expensive to try and recover lost data from a dying HDD, assuming you even can.
Don't take the chance, fix the problem before it's "life threatening."

A new HDD is only like $50-70, trying to recover anything will start at like $1500.

Understandin S.M.A.R.T. data is like sorcery or alchemy . it's impossible . A click when shutting down is ok , however , i'd copy my valuable files (family photos , videos , documents , cad drawings , etc.) to an external hdd . 500 Gb external hdd is around 50$ USD
