My M.2 is on the cheap side. A 2TB -KINGSTON SNV2S2000G. It works good enough for me. Hopefully it will last a few years or even longer to be used in my next build. My backup M.2 is plugged into a 3.2 USB Port. I purchased an enclosure for it. Enclosure came with both cables: A/C and C/C plugs,

SPCC M.2 PCIe SSD (AA230129NV01KG09233)

Its about the same as my Sammy. And like you, it is more than enough for my needs. 98% with just under 12TB writes 7994 hours 754 power on count.

These things can last for years. I still have all of my old ones, none of them died on me, I usually upsized when running out of room, but also whenever I make a new system, I always get newer/ larger ssd's for them. I think you will be happy for quite a while.
