CS:GO and cpu cores

How many cores does csgo support? thought most games used max 4.
but in this test https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fj9cuHuTNVU he shows that the 6 core gives him more fps than the 4 core which means it supports 4+ cores am I right?

Does it even support higher? 8-10 cores? Would be fun to know ^^

Probably so but it's such an easy game to run it doesn't really matter. I have a i53350p and a GTX 760 and it never falls below 200fps. So I really don't think building an 8 core rig just for CSGO makes any sense

well maybe not but what about higher resolutions ? 1440p etc

The CPU doesn't care what the resolution is. It's harder for a system to carry ,720 at 75 fps than 4k @60 fps (ignoring the GPU obviously)
