I normally play 4:3 (black bars) on csgo. This morning it was all fine however I came back from the gym and there were no black bars! Whenever i mess around with the settings and put it on 4:3 it automatically goes into stretched and i have no idea how to get it into black bars. Im running it on intel hd graphics.

Thanks for the help!

Your monitor might have a setting that stretches the image to force a 4:3 image to fit onto a 16:9 Display (assuming yours is 16x9)

It might also be in the driver settings but I dont know.

Why bother playing 4:3? Usually wider is better, at least in my opinion. I went from a 16:9 to a 21:9 display and the view width is increased in all of my games. Its nice. I would think a fast paced FPS would benefit from a wider display, not a narrower one.

I googled CSGO 4:3 and found this explanation (this is not a fix for your problem, just an explanation of why you would want 4:3)

It's all due to personal preference. Personally i prefer 4:3 and so do alot of pros aswell. Would you have any idea what setting this would be?

No idea what the setting could be. The setting is going to vary between Drivers (Intel, AMD, etc) and display manufacturers. I bet it is part of the intel driver. Perhaps it updated and changed something on its own. Monitor settings do not usually change unless somebody messes with them.

Just about to find out, went into the graphics control panel for intel and i get this message "this application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000e5)" *Sigh*
