Hello,

I just installed CS GO after a long time of not playing and it was fine for around 2 hours then I got a black screen and the music just keeps stuttering in the background, I have to hold the power button down to reset it.

I've monitored Temps and CPU is around 70c same for GPU.

I don't get this when I play other games for a length of time. With CS go it can be 10 mins or 2 hours. It varies.

I have i5 3470, Rx480 8gb, 8gb ram, windows 10

Anyone have same issues with GPU or game? Thanks

Wonder if your hitting the old motd blackscreen bug. CS:GO - Properties - Set launch Options - cl_disablehtmlmotd 1
Then run the game from steam and check if it helps. Also add -autoconfig in your launch Options to ensure CSGO has your correct video settings.

If that doesn't help you may need to update stuff like your bios to java to getting everything fixed. Update your OS

updates:
Adobe flash update - https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Java update - https://java.com/en/download/
MS .net framwork - https://www.microsoft.com/net/download/framework

Some programs may block Valves anti cheat programs so check to ensure they are set correctly. To test you may have to uninstal anti-virus and firewall programs and restart your system...

Run the game to see if fixed the issue. If so you may need to look up settings for your programs or switch to more accomedating versions. I for example use avast and it working perfectly. You may to also setup your router to open ports for csgo. Here is the ports you need open.
