CS:GO FPS Issue

On 1/10/2016 (UK) whilst playing cs:go, I was receiving around 120-130 FPS, the same FPS I've had for 2 years on this game. However today 2/10/2016, after no updates or changes to my Laptop in anyway, I'm now receiving 60 FPS, which is noticeably effecting the game.

On initial start up of cs:go I receive 30 FPS in the main menu. I then have to tab out and then back in, and this for some reason slowly increases my FPS to 60, where it remains as if it's locked.

I've tried console commands, Drive Booster 4, CCleaner, High performance Power Option, Launch Options, Verify Game Cache, Reboot, etc.

If anyone can offer any advise I would be very appreciative.

Thank you Kindly.

If you've got Windows 10 and force upgraded to Anniversary edition, there's the new "Game DVR" feature in the Xbox app that does that same thing. I had this issue for a long time. You'll have to go to the Xbox app, make an account, go to settings, and disable Game DVR. Once that is done, go into Steam>CS:GO>Game Properties>General>Set Launch Options and type "-high". That will disable the recording software that cripples FPS, and then force Windows to run CS:GO in High Priority so that any other applications vying for your attention won't interrupt CS:GO.

Thank you so much for this response. Everything you've specified sounds spot on. I unfortunately can't seem to get on the xbox app at this time, for what ever reason. Hopefully later in the week I'll get some free time to investigate it further, and I'll try everything you mentioned.

Thank you very much for this post, I didn't even consider Vsync. I've just went to check it isn't on, but unable to locate where the option to turn it on and off is in csgo settings. When looking around for a solution, I found this post "If in game vsync option is already turned off, it usually means you have vsync forced on in graphics drivers". Could this be a possibility in my case, and if so how would I action this?
