CS GO license not recieved

i ve purchased CS:GO CD and while installing it didnt ask for product key and directly installed and showed in steam library.. after installation amd updating the game when i connected to steam and played, it was showing there that i dont have license to play CSGO online. but i am connected to steam as i ve subscribed to training maps.. plz help what to do.. it feels like money is being wasted..plz plz plz help
and also i wanna know why i didnt get licence

you are on the internet and you purchased a CD of CS GO?
Then there would/should be a Serial Number somewhere in the CS GO box/instructions.

Typically when buying a CD game it would be on the back or on a paper inside of the CD case, where did you buy it from?
