I have tried everything that I have found: Re-install Verify Game Cache Change the video.txt "setting.mem_level" to 0 Install drivers Update windows Removed launch options But when i move my mouse from the USB port in the back to the top of my tower. It works fine! I dont get this because I have played this game fine since August 2014 and if I have to but a new computer just to play CS even though my friend does not have this issue and he has 20 FPS. Either this is on Valve or something in my computer went horribly wrong. If anyone has a fix that might work please give it my way. If this is an OS error I guess I will wait for my reserved copy of Windows 10 (My PC is a potato).

Example: Game locks when I'm holding the "W" key
My PC stops receiving any more information and act like all I am doing is holding down the "W" key until my PC is turned off.

Solution
Something awfully similar happens to me too, albeit it's with CoD.

It usually happens whenever someone accesses voice-chat, be it a teammate or an opponent.
Input locks to what I'm currently pressing when the event occurs, and nothing else works for a time lapse between 30 seconds and two minutes.
The only ways to get out of that are to either hard-reset or wait for it to go off.

The only thing I can advise is to make sure every driver is up to date, especially for peripherals and the Motherboard's chipset.
It only happens with CoD to me, so I assume it's some sort of weird compatibility issue, but the only thing that comes to mind (besides an issue with the game itself) would be a chipset/peripheral driver not working as intended...

I'm still looking for an answer myself about that, but as long as it's limited to a single game, I can afford a couple unwanted deaths...

Solution

To be honest I just think its time for a new PC as I have decided I will be saving up for one now. After I come come back from holidays have to find my-self a job as I have just finished school and I have updated my drivers too
