[SOLVED] CS GO runs better on a weaker system. Why ?

I used to play CS GO a while ago on dualcore e5700, GT220, 2gb ram, low settings, had no problem, game ran pretty smoothly. Later on core2quad q8400, 4gb ram, GT 640, performance was worse. What might be the problem? The first system ran on Windows XP, the latter is windows 10 64 bit.
