Howdy,

I am considering this: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?
description=32-128-127&depa=0

Does that come with CS:S? I can't find the information on the web
anywhere. What about DoD when (if?) it comes out?

Thanks!

All retail version of HL2 include CS:S and HL2 Deathmatch, only the collectors
edition includes DoD:S and HL1:S.

Just out of curiosity why would you want some strange import version?

The CE definately includes HL1:S, but it is unclear whether CE owners
will gain access to DoD:S when it becomes live.

Remember: nowhere on the CE or even on the Steam site does it say that
the CE supports DoD:S. Only the Silver & Gold Steam packages do. It will
probably be released retail though. Might get lucky though.

It's the same full retail game, in English and even after shipping it's
$11 less than the buying bronze from steam.com. As long as it includes
CS:S, what's so strange?

If it's $11 less than the bronze pagage, then that makes it a pretty
good deal in my mind.

except that valve will upgrade a bronze package to silver or gold for the
difference in price whereas retail owners cannot upgrade. I had to buy retail as
I have no broadband where I live (soon though) and I have been trying to get
valve to let me buy HL1:S over steam (I can manage the size on my ISDN line) and
they won't, I also got hints that it would be the same for DoD:S

Really? Valve will allow upgrades of their Steam packages? Where does it
say that in an official statement (apart from the RUMORS circulating on
the forums?)

Click support on www.steampowered.com sign in and click ask a question. There
are lots of dropdown boxes with categories of what your question is about and
under billing and orders there is a selection for "upgrade to silver / bronze
package". not definite proof but why have the option if they don't do it?
