Lol, i have seen one dude playing CS:GO with nvidia geforce gtx 980 ti and i7 4790k around 300-400 fps on maxed out setting + 1080 resolution....meanwhile, i'm having around 200-300fps on max settings + 1600x900 resolution.....LOL some one please tell me what's going on here.

- I7 4790k
- Nvidia Geforce Gtx 980 ti
- 16gb G.SkilL RipJaws (8gbx2)
Exact same setup as his...
LoL....i can smell something fishy from that guy....

Overclock your CPU, also you have to change the max FPS, it defaults to 300, so unless you change it you will never go over 300 fps.

What he said.

Yeah, i got my cpu overclocked by the guy who built my system...i think its 10% oc

I know it doesn't matter, what i don't understand is me having the same specs as his and he's having more fps than me. I just don't know if my graphics card is damaged or something...

It probably boils down to a difference in crudware running in the background. He simply may have a cleaner operating system.

Also is just the silicon lottery. Some chips just run faster or slower than each other. Some can overclock extremely high or some can barely at all.

Did you do fps_max 999 in console? Did this increase your fps at all? If anything it is going to be your CPU causing the issues. I have a GTX 980 Ti and i play CS:GO in surround 5760x1200 ( 3 1920x1200 monitors) at max settings and cap at 300 fps, and my GPU loads are only around 70-80%.
Check your CPU and GPU loads while you are playing and let us know what they are.

Did you try typing fps_max 999 in the console?
