[SOLVED] CSGO Black screen on launch then closes 4 seconds later.

So my csgo was working fine until a day ago. I have an alt account that would black screen on launch then close about 4 seconds after launch every time but my main account would launch just fine. I went through some fixes an eventually got to uninstalling/reinstalling steam and now it does the same thing on my main account.

I launch and its a black screen with my mouse pointer still visible (wasn't like that before) and then just closes about 4 seconds after. I have been through several fix ideas and nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

Found the fix for my situation.

Something in my cfg folder was causing it. I deleted the folder and verified game files and it worked.

Something in my cfg folder was causing it. I deleted the folder and verified game files and it worked.

One would think that verifying the folders would have fixed the issue with the cfg folder to start with. All this really shows me is how useless the feature really is. It doesn't really "verify" or fix a damn thing.
