Ever since I built my new pic I have noticed fps drops in csgo but not in other games. Any idea why this would happen?

System specs:
i5 4690k @3.5ghz
8gb memory
750 w power supply
Gtx 970
1 tb drive
Asrock z97 anniversary motherboard

I am also using the lasted nvidia drivers, I have GeForce experience installed and I use a 60hz monitor. And btw the reason I am reposting this is I still haven't found a solution.

Well GPU should not go past 75-80 degrees under 100% load so I would say 65 degrees under 30% is too much, yes. Don't really thign that is relevant however. My guess is that you don't have a fps_max setting in CSGO, so your CSGO runs at some crazy FPS which itself overheats the GPU so the GPU downclocks itself to handle the heat problem and thus you loose fps. What FPS does the game normally run at and how much does it become when you get th FPS drop?

I have my fps set to unlimited and I usually get 200-300 max settings. The drops only last for like a second or less.

GPU is 63 degrees using 36% while cpu is 35-40 degrees using 25-55% of my 4 cores. And only using 730mb of memory.

i have the same issue as yours ,tried to tweak game settings in launch options ,also in game ,tried reinstalling didn't help ,as well uninstalled nvidia experience due high cpu usage from one of its "exe" files ,also didn't work ,in addition played with both high/low graphic settings ,adjusted fps to fps_max 60/120/144 ,also reinstalled GPU drivers yet no solution ,while other games work just fine ,i think it's the game that have issues not your PC ,hope this helps somehow >.>

I mean it could be the game, but other people with lower hard ware then me are playing it perfectly fine so I don't see why just I would have this problem.

Is that bad for it to hit 65 degrees under 30% load? And if so what? I will also try those other things you suggested.
