CSGO frame drop during OBS recording

I want to record and review my CS:GO gameplay by recording it with OBS. However everytime I hit "Start Recording" My FPS in game gets cut in half and there seems to be slight video lag. I tried several things including enabling and disabling "Limit Frame Capture" in the properties. Halp plz

CSGO is a fairly CPU intensive game. OBS is also CPU intensive.
Soooo, upgrade your CPU?
I mean, there's not much you can do. Perhaps you could try using the GPU for encoding. Then it will stress the GPU more.

ati has ReLive and nvidia has ShadowPlay video capturing which shouldnt affect your fps by that much
