is there any good gpu that is enough to get 240+ fps at all times in cs:go? @ 1920x1080, all low settings. Smokes in csgo are really heavy, both gpus hit 100% usage instant close to a smoke.
I tried some things:
GTX 1050ti
Matchmaking: close to 1 smoke = 160-170fps
CSGO FPS benchmark: many smokes same spot 40fps
GTX 1070
Matchmaking: close to 1 smoke 200-210fps
CSGO FPS benchmark: many smokes same spot 90 fps
Got the Acer 25" Predator XB252Q 240hz screen
EDIT: Forgot to mention I have a 4790k @ 4.7ghz aswell

What is your GPU usage? Monitor using EVGA Precision X or MSI after burner.

Set Power management in Nvidia Control panel to prefer maximum performance.

Also trying setting your fps cap to 400 with the GTX 1070. I found that setting it to unlimited makes it kind of erratic but raising it above 300 can help with the dips below 240.

Command: fps_max 400
To be honest, I have a 1050 at the moment. Even putting the resolution to 720p does nothing to help with the fps. I think it is just due to how the source engine works. I get about 200-300avg fps and when a smoke is on screen drops instantly to 130-150fps. Maybe try using launch commands? Here are the ones that I use though none of them are needed, they just might provide better performance.

-novid -high -threads [number] Since you have an unlocked i7, you'd have 8 threads.

Already have those launch options. I think I need an overclocked 1080 or even a titan XP for this 240+ fps constant...
My gtx 1070 ran at 2050mhz
