Csgo turns my 144hz to 60hz

I bought an LG curved ultrawide 34uc79g monitor and its working fine until i start up csgo and it toggles off my 144hz setting by putting it to 60hz and i cant adjust it back unless i restart my pc, and once i have restarted i can then choose 144hz from nvidia control panel but once i start csgo same thing happens. Works fine on Pubg ect.

Try going into CSGO's launch options and setting -freq 144, you can do that by going to
steam, right click on CSGO, go to properties, launch options.

I've done that. I used to have a 144hz monitor so i should have all my settings fine
