Hi everyone,

For the past 2 years I've been playing CSGO with a constant ping of 40ms as shown on net_graph 1. But since the last 2 months I started having ping spikes caused by unknown issues. From 40ms it goes up to 100ms and happens every 5-10 seconds. I play on a wired connection, yet I can't figure out why the lag occurs in game. So far the ping spike only seems to occur in csgo only and all my other online games have rather no effect. Thank you in advance.

it could just be a problem on the CSGO servers not just your end if nothing has changed from your side if everything else is at the same latency. so you can double-check with other sites. least you can do is restarting your router.

if there are changes in your comptuer and you are not aware of it, check if there are any background apps consuming resources. disable any service that is heavy. if your PC cant handle the graphics at some points of the game, it will appear as lag in your games as well.

I checked all my background services and none of them are consuming any resources. Checked my computer in idle and everything was normal. Even reset my router to see if there was some configurations that might be causing it. So far nothing seems to have fixed this. Guess I'll just wait and see if it is a problem with their servers. Thank you

Hey, valve recently did something with Asian servers and kind of grouped them all together. So you are getting connected to other country servers and experiencing ping issues
