CSGO VAR spikes and FPS Drops 2017

I played csgo for 2 years now with no problem and I recently got a new PC which I also had no issue with until recently I got massive VAR spikes every couple seconds it is unplayable. I have tried a variety of fixes and none of them worked. I suspect that I dont have enough RAM however when i play I check my RAM usage and its normally around 3.8GB being used whilst in game. My internet connection is also good.


My PC specs:

-AMD FX8350 8 Core
-GTX 970
-Crucial - Ballistix Tactical 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
-ASRock - 980DE3/U3S3 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
-be quiet! - PURE POWER 9 400W 80+ Silver Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
-AOC - G2460PF 24.0" 1920x1080 144Hz Monitor
-Windows 7 64 bit

please help i tried a lot of options already and am I the only one with the problem ?

use msi afterburner.there is a tutorial on how to set it up on youtube.
