hey guys

a few years back i bought a computer from cube247, they gave me a 350W psu for a 7950gx2 graphics card which requires a recommended 550W psu. This graphics card is now broken but i think it could have been the psu's fault.

is cube247 responsible or do these companies have the right to give you inadequate psu's?

i emailed them twice, once on customersupport and another time on technical support but ive had no feedback for about a month.

According to my reference, the 7950GX2 pulled a max of 113W. So the real question would be how many 12V amps the PSU was capable of, who made it, etc.

Your video card might have been damaged by a poor quality PSU or one that partly failed, but insufficient power by itself shouldn't damage it.

Regardless, if the parts are out of warranty you are out of luck.

ooh i think it was 16A on the 12V, damn no warrranty yeah, if only i knew about the importance of psus when i bought the pc
