When the power cable is unplugged the nvidia dedicated card in the laptop is disabled. Can I still use the nvidia gpu for CUDA computations. The display can run from the Integrated Intel GPU. I just need the Nvidia gpu for doing cuda computations and not visualization.

If not is there a way to tell it to never disable the nvidia GPU via some option in the Nvidia control panel?

PS this is a duplicated post from anandtechforums. where I got no reply. hence repeating it here.

Hi
If you have latest BIOS upgrade ..........
There are some Vendors that have Add BIOS option for GPU switching - Auto or Manual
Choose manual if you have this option
Then you can tell wich one to use in Drivers

Or try to sett you POWER MANAGMENT to High Performance on battery !
