Cumulative Update but no Creators Update...yet?

Hi, I thought the Creators Update was suppose to be released on Apr 11th? I know that I can go to the MS website and download it from there, but I was hoping to get it straight through Windows Update.

I got the following on the 11th:
* Creators Update Privacy Settings
* Cumulative update
* Adobe Flash update
* Malicious software removal tool update

... but no actual Creators update. My system still says it's Win 10 version 1607 (14393.1066) and my "Paint" looks like it always has. My update window still says the Creators Update is on its way.

I usually receive all Win Updates around 1pm on the day of release. I just now checked (Apr 12 at 11AM) and there's still no Creators Update.

So my question is, has anyone received the Creators update through Windows Update yet?

It's a tiered system. They let it drip out to systems they are sure it will run on correctly and then expand it to more and more users after that. So most people will not see the update initially.

last night for me it installed the cumulative update first, restarted computer to apply it,then it installed the new privacy settings for the creators update, then after some time it start installing a "feature update" which was the actual update

also between the time waiting for the feature update to appear it gace me a popup message saying it is in the process of installing it

why_wolf, that's why I said that I usually receive the updates right away. I have a Alienware.. its a few years old. I think I've been on what is called "ring 1" or something like that, meaning I'm one of the first to receive the updates.

cap'n, I'll reboot again and see if that helps. My last reboot was 19 hours ago. That's good that it lets you know its installing it.

I cleaned up my system and made a full backup on the 10th, so I was ready for the CU on the 11th. Have looked up news and see no delays or anything. Maybe I'm just impatient.

You can always download the Upgrade assistant from here - click 1st link

Run it and it will install Creators edition, I got it on friday

there is already a cumulative update for creators edition, unsure if its included if you upgrade after the one for 1607

Reboot didn't help. I guess I'll just have to wait.

I re-checked again 10 mins ago... still not ready I guess. I'll wait a day or two and if it doesn't show up I'll go to the website and DL it. I just expected it to be automatic for me...at this point. That's what is confusing.

2 ways to get it now, run the upgrade assistant I linked above or download the media creation tool and use it to upgrade current PC. Both on page I linked above.

This is exactly how mine looked (even the same update time)

I got a pop up telling me to adjust the privacy settings and that the creators update was being installed in the background. I continued to do my own thing and forgot about it until about 15 minutes ago, checked task manager to see what it was doing (nothing) went into Windows Update to see the same thing in the image you posted here.

I decided to manually hit Check for Updates and it started downloading the Creators Update, so that's probably all you'd have to do to get it now

Thanks for the post, I tried that right before that pic was taken... I hit Check for updates. Just tried again, still no CU, still no popup. It's downloading another Windows Defender update now and that's all there is. I'll give it a few days and if it don't show up I'll get it from the site.
