i want to but the asus z170-deluxe with the i7 7700k cpu and i just wondering if asus updated the bios yet to run it out the box or will i have to flash it?

It would be updated if the motherboard was shipped from the factory after the first compatible bios version release date. For the Z170 deluxe, it was bios version 3007 on the 16/12/2016.
But with this motherboard you have the option to use USB BIOS Flashback so you could flash a compatible bios if you happen to get one with an incompatible bios version.
