Actually no I am not happy at all. I would like to see a link that shows the Pentium M overclocked to 2.4GHz beating EVERYTHING. The link you gave does not supply that.

Is that too much to ask?

I'm just skeptical is all.

If the Pentium M can beat EVERYTHING when overclocked to 2.4GHz I'D like to know about it, is there anything wrong with that?

If I glanced at a spilt box of tooth picks on the floor, could I tell you how many are in the pile. Not a chance, But then again I don't have to buy my underware at Kmart.

it doesnt say everything, but it says comparable to a s939 a64 at 2.4ghz, which would be the fx53 or 3800+, may not be everything, but damn close.

Watch out for the <b><font color=red>bloody</font color=red></b> Fanboys!

AMD64 2800+ :: MSI Neo-Fis2r :: 1024mb Kingmax ddr400 :: Sapphire 9800pro 128mb :: 10K WD Raptor

Addicted, finally.

(Dothan)overclocking with 2.4 GHz with a temperature in full-load of 30°C gives performances comparable with Athlon 64 3400+ or one Pentium 4 3.4 Ghz, CPUs top-of-the-range current!
Wow, here is more <A HREF="http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http://www.x86-secret.com/articles/cpu/dothan/dothan-6.htm&langpair=fr|en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&prev=/language_tools" target="_new"> details! </A>

Actualy what the article it refers to states:

"gives performances comparable with Athlon 64 3400+ or one Pentium 4 3.4 Ghz, CPUs top-of-the-range current!"

939 is dual channel... 3400+ is 754 and not dual channel and runs at 2.2GHz not 2.4. The overclocked 2 meg cache Pentium M might be comparable to a 1 meg cache 2.2 GHz non overclocked non dual channel a64 3400+ when running mathmatical cpu or cache intensive benchmarks.

However since there are 1 meg cache amd desktop chips running at 2.6 GHz and in dual channel plus 2.4 GHz all not overclocked. Well the statment the Pentium M at 2.4 Ghz beats EVERYTHING is somewhat missleading.

Don't ya think.
