Question curious about which new processor to buy

ok so this may seem like a stupid quesiton to some but i consider myself pretty smart when it comes to computers but for a while now ive needed to upgrade my processer and im unsure of which one to get. there are so many and im never sure which newer one to buy.
my current specs are

any help would greatly be appreciated. ive tried looking it up myself online and i get super confused.
 
Well most newer chips really want Windows 10.
