Current best 1440p 27" 60hz ips monitor for under $400?

Most of the posts on here about this are over a year old so perhaps by now things have changed. Like the title says, which one? I probably won't need g sync or anything since I'm getting a gtx 1080 and am only gaming in 1440p at 60fps (ultra/high) (frame locked). I also have some concerns about the release dates of some of these monitors. When a manufacturer releases a monitor, how long will they continue to make it? If they stop production and the monitors are sitting in retail packaging for 2 or 3 yrs am I basically getting an old monitor or will it still be fine after existing for that long without use? The monitor doesn't have to be ips however if the budget allows, please do. I currently play on a 47" lg led and latency isnt much of an issue just keep it within reason. Thanks.

Well, using this list, in order of owner reviews, It would have to by the Asus PB278Q.

Sitting that long (2-3 years) won't affect much with the monitor. If it is discontinued though, it should say it is in the retailer's listing for it.

dell u2715h, but at that price point i would buy a lg or acer 4k monitor at the same price point ( LG 27UD68-W or Acer CB1 CB271HKbmjdprx )

I am using an ASUS MX27AQ, 27" and got it from Amazon for $420 with tax...I think it was $402 list price. I love it. HUGE upgrade from a 6 year old 24" 1080p ASUS...that is still great for it's time/class. I agonized for weeks over this buy, including considering most of the monitors the other guys mentioned. It comes down to looks and reviews, at least it did for me. I would love to get another one, actually, but funds are being directed toward a new Ryzen build first.
