Curse necro builds

You mean a necro who only uses the curse tree?
Since no curse can kill on it's own I'd say you'd need a good weapon,
preferably a bow or crossbow.

It sounds like a rough ride to me as the best offensive curse (amp) does not
gain much from added points.

I'd say if I were going to do it again, I'd max Iron Maiden/Iron Golem/Golem
Mastery. Get either a Might or a Thorns Merc, and wish myself luck.

I've heard a Necro can melee all the way thru normal difficulty, but
i've never tried it.

I had one in 1.09 that made it through most of NM, but I haven't tried it in
1.10 yet.

Anyone can melee through Normal; load a socketed flail with perfect topazes
and start wailing away. Dim Vision and bag of poison charms will take you
through Nightmare. I haven't figured out Hell yet (the old "Iron Maiden and
wait" doesn't work in 1.10).
