When you have multiple CPUs with one interrupt controller, you don't
have much choice. You either use spin-locks or you Blue-Screen.
Since Linux doesn't have a "Blue-screen of death", it needs spin-
locks.

I remember making a level (including custom graphics etc.) in high
school. It implemented the schhool and you had to shoot the
teachers. One day one of the others came into the classroom:

"Hey, I made a new weapon for NykDOOM"
"What could you possibly do better than all our custom weapons?"
"A car!"

Then again, it is of course a short range weapon. Mostly I liked the
chicken (rubber chicken, unfortunately without a pulley in the
middle). You had to slash it at your own head - and monsters died at
range.

It made no sense but was an awesome weapon.

Hmmm...a chicken, eh? Actually, to be honest, I often dislike heavily
customised games, at least in case of a public server, because you'll have
to download so much junk each time you play a new level.
