Cursed weapons et al

Hi,

I am currently wielding:

K - the cursed rustproof +6 Stormbringen (weapon in hand)
a - the blessed rustproof +1 Vorpal Blade (alternate weapon; not
wielded)

I am also using:

y - a cursed rotted +3 cloak of magic resistance (being worn)
N - a cursed +0 shield of reflection (being worn)
P - a cursed -1 helm of brilliance (being worn)
x - a cursed ring of free action (on left hand)
J - a cursed ring of polymorph (on right hand)

When I try to #loot my chest or (a)pply my bag, I get: "without a free
hand, you cannot loot anything". However, I am only using a weapon in
ONE hand, not two.

How can I drop my alternate weapon, which isn't cursed?

what about your cursed shield that you are wearing...

LOL!

You already got an appropriate answer, so let me just add; you
should try to fix that, I mean, drop that blessed weapon and get
one that fits... for example a cursed tin opener. 🙂)

Back to your point; has your god finally fixed all this equipment?

Actually, he didn't. I did get a chance to #pray after a long while, but
by then, I had already lost most of the cursed armour (just not the
shield, IIRC, since I couldn't cast any spells yet, including remove
curse, which I knew).

The cursed ring of polymorph fixed most of my armour problems easily,
leaving me with only the rings, the shield, and a cursed amulet of ESP
which I was also wearing but didn't list above, since it had nothing to
do with my #loot problems.

A friendly nymph relieved me of the shield, the rings and the amulet,
eventually, after which I goit my pet giant from the neighbouring level
and let him relieve the stealing bitch of her life...

The problem is, you're also wearing a cursed shield.

Ah, thanks (and thanks to chuck as well).

Problem was, I was putting these on *deliberately*, since I was standing
on an altar and was eligable to pray, and I was planning to uncurse
them.

Of course, I hadn't looked at my status bar close enough, and hadn't
noticed the "weak" indicator, which was fixed by the prayer (or I
thought that wearing six cursed items which prevent you from opening a
chest or bag would count as a more serious problem).

In the sense of you shrinking out, or the armour tearing up?

Shiring out: I turned into a newt first, and changed about ten times
more after that.

In my new human forms, I first lost a level (back to 14) but ended up
level 18 when that nymph finally removed the ring. In the mean time, I
was (among other forms) a black light:

r - a cursed ring of polymorph (on left ray)
