alright i just booted back into windows again, and the issue is still theremouse have its own software?
Try a clean boot and see if it changes anything - make sure to read instructions and make sure NOT to disable any microsoft services or windows won't load right - https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows
it doesn't remove anything, just stops programs running with windows at startup, easy to reverse
if clean boot fixes it, it shows its likely a startup program. You should, over a number of startups. restart the programs you stopped to isolate the one that is to blame.
is it everywhere or just discord?
happens on all apps im running the latest version of windows 21H2 , mostly seems to happen when the cursor changes really fastdoes it happen on all apps? or just Discord?
shame can't slow it down to see what the red is showing
Which version of windows are you on now?
right click start
type winver and press enter
i have an odd headache today so might not be much help
yep thats me moving it and thats my monitor, also it seems to happen on typing fields, honestly im thinking it could be my graphics or monitor like you saidcould be the monitor then if its doesn't show on software.
your monitor I guess - https://www.hp.com/au-en/shop/hp-m24f-fhd-monitor-2e2y4aa.html
so is cursor moving up by itself or that is you moving it up/down. I can't replicate it myself. Nor can I see anything similar.
does it only happen on the search field? wonder if its that orange basketball event showing in search
can get rid of search highlights doing this - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-turn-off-search-highlights-in-windows-10/d2e0ce5b-47d4-4d11-b04b-87c29145dbc3
yup its running at 75hz, also i tried in safe mode and it didnt happen thereyou running at a normal refresh rate and resolution?
screen seems to support 75, is it running at that?
see if it happens in safe mode
- go to settings/update & security/recovery
- under advanced startup, click restart now button
- this restarts PC in a blue menu
- choose troubleshoot
- choose advanced
- choose startup options
- click the restart button
- choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
- Pc will restart and load safe mode
im using the integrated graphics off the 7 5700g, so im thinking my cpu is either damaged or the driversso what gpu do you have?
safe mode is less stressing on hardware, but it could also mean its drivers.
could try running Ubuntu from the USB and see if it has similar problems, would tell us if its software or not - https://ubuntu.com/tutorials/try-ubuntu-before-you-install#1-getting-started
Ive already done that and it didnt fix it, but ill try the linux distro, also i changed my cursor to windows black (system scheme) and it doesnt do it anymore, my mobo is an msi b550 pro vdh wifiI would run DDU to remove the old radeon drivers and then install new ones once you back in normal mode
Updated 9-19-19 How to do a CLEAN install of your graphics card drivers using the Wagnard tools Display Driver Uninstaller A major issue on many systems is the presence of multiple graphics card drivers or drivers that have been incompletely uninstalled followed by the installation of...forums.tomshardware.com
latest drivers are here - https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-ryzen-processors/amd-ryzen-7-5000-g-series-desktop-processors-radeon-graphics/amd
well its probably the drivers or my cpu, ill keep trying troubleshooting stuff see what fixes it, but seems like changing the cursor worked for nowi use the inverted mouse cursor.
strange it stops if you use a black mouse cursor.
It might be motion blur
i don't think it should be ghosting.
Did frame-by-frame view, to extract vital info;shame can't slow it down to see what the red is showing
what other applications did it show on?also it seems to happen on typing fields
hey so i just woke up and took another video this time doing it on firefox, it also appears to be less intense this time, just showing a red and black line View: https://imgur.com/a/Z4V7gaEI don't have a solution but i do admire the problem.
To perhaps help out:
Did frame-by-frame view, to extract vital info;
Red artifact appears when cursor changes from finger point to text line. Not all the time but quite frequently.
And there's another artifact, double line, when cursor changes back, from text line to finger point. This artifact happened twice, while the red one happened over 10 times.
yeah seems like its when the cursor changes to the typing thing, i think i ''fixed'' it by changing my cursor to the windows black, maybe in a future driver or windows update itll be fixed, thanks a lot for your help thoughit doesn't happen in Firefox
but once you take cursor near the search bar while in spotify app, I saw a flash of red
then when you take app full screen (or closer to the search bar) it happens more
is that how you see it?
seems to be the searchbar causing it.
