I have a razer naga 2014 gaming mouse and basically the cursor moves diagonally when the mouse is moved horizontally. I gave the mouse back to Razer so they can fix it and give it back to me but the problem still happens. Problem also happens with other mouses and on my laptop.

I use a razer goliathus mouse pad.
I use windows 7

However, go through the troubleshooting steps above if you have not already done so.

Then go to this link and see how your mouse is set up and test the various control settings via the configurator..... Be sure you have the latest Razor drivers that match your OS.

If the problem only occurs with the razor mouse (i.e., no problem with other mice and the problem follows the razor to other computers) then the razor mouse is the problem.

Could be defective.
Does that happen in all games and other applications?

On multiple devices (i.e., you say "and on my laptop")? Or did you mean only on the laptop?

Whose driver are you using? MS, Razer?

As the problem is happening with multiple mice I suspect you have a generic MS driver installed.

I would start via a fresh mouse driver download from Razer. Be sure to match the driver to your mouse and OS (Windows 7, 32 or 64 bit).

yes this happens on multiple devices and in all games or applications.
yes i am using Razer drivers. ( Razer naga 2014 has Razer synapse device manager instead of standalone drivers )

Did you look at the mouse configuration setting via Razer's Control Canel and/or Window's Control Panel?

Take a look at the Ease of Access settings also. Nothing there per se that I am aware of but worth a look anyway.

It almost seems as if some other application is causing the behavior.

Do you have any joysticks or laptop touch pads/joystick button installed.

I.e., some device needing calibration to work correctly along each axis.

Could be miscalibrated and the razor is reacting to that configuration.

Then again, maybe Razer did not really fix the mouse.....

I checked the ease of access shenanigans and ive already messed around with the calibration setting in Razer synapse but it didn't do anything. I don't have any joysticks or whatever installed on my computer.

I formated my computer yesterday (lol) just incase there is any soft ware messing with my mouse. The format didnt remove the problem. I even went as far as seeing if windows was causing the problem by opening the thing i think is called BIOS (basically you press F2 or the DEL key before the computer boots up from the windows disc) before installing windows and i moved my mouse in the BIOS thing and it still made the cursor move diagonally. (That means that the cursor moves diagonally without windows installed yet).

By the way this doesn't just happen on my Razer mouses, it happens on Microsoft and other mouses too.

Im probably going to a friends house tomorrow and i will bring a bunch of mouses with me to try them out on his computer. hopefully ill get something out of the results.

If its not solved, I fixed this by just swabbing the sensor on the bottom.
