Cursor opeing files

I have 2010 Toshiba, win 10. Cursor is opening, deleting whatever files, windows, menus before I even click on them with button. I fixed this problem win 7 toshisbas by updating mouse related Synatpic drivers. Ive inloaded the most recent related drivers and when I go to install they say "you have newer version installed, are you sure you want to replace".. so I dont

I would suggest you to try replacing the new driver with the older version.

Due to some compatibility issues, sometime the old version of drivers work better than the new ones.

Yes, I know what you mean. Ive done two things in last half hour and one or both may have fixed the issue, however, I would swear, these two things were in place a week ago and could not have been the problem. Cant deny the facts tho, I

1} once again disabled { unchecked } "enable tapping", and

2} ran malware bytes that did find 14 items to be qurrantined.

So it has been 20 minutes now and I have been using email program, browser and finder window and have not had this cursor acting as if I clicked my button to engage what I was pointed at.
