I have a set of Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop connected to my Windows 10 device. Recently I have noticed the mice causes a lot of problems. it seems the mice is keep getting disconnected or restarted while I am using it. Every few minutes the cursor becomes deactivated as I can see and move it on the screen but it does not function with clicking on items or panels. Then I have to press CTRL+ALT+DEL then it gets activated and I can return to Windows and contiue working. Sometimes the cursor moves very slowly or if I have Chrome running, it suddenly goes one page back, it is like hitting the back button of Chrome randomly.
Another issue that I have noticed is that the light on under the mice does not go off if the device is not moved even for hours and that consumes the battery very fast.
I have tested this on different computers and the issues are still there.

Any ideas why this is doing it? Do you suggest it is a hardware issue? it is only few months old.

Thanks in advance.

The problem of having the cursor deactivated or moving slow is sloved now. I simply use a usb extension on instead of connecting the bluetooth dongle directly to the computer and that solved the issue.

Still the mouse LED is always active and does not let the computer go to sleep which I am not sure why.
