I built a system for one of my partners using an Asus CUSL2 motherboard and an Intel 733MHz PIII processor.
There is an error message:
<BIOS> BIOS update data incorrect. CPUID=00000686
This shows up just before the PCI device listing on startup.
Does anyone know what this means?
Thanks,
James

simply perform a BIOS upgrade will solve the problem.
this error occured due to the bios cannot update the microcode of your newer stepping processor.

I also just bought an Asus CUSL2 board and installed a PIII 933. Boot up will not progress past the second screen, last line reading "Loading ESCD Successful". Then nothing. Everything is configured correctly in the BIOS. Have even tried using a Celeron 566 from another computer, same thing. Any help appreciated.
