Question Custom build 1st boot - no EZ debug light black screen monitor

Hello!

I just finished assembling my custom build:
i5-12600K
MSI Z690-A DDR4 ProSeries
Zotac Gaming GeForce GTX 3080 10GB
Corsair RM750x
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 3600 MHz
SDD from my previous build
HDD from my previous build

When I start the computer, the EZ debug CPU light stays red for 3s, then blink orange on DRAM, then VGA light white for 2s then back to red for 2s then all EZ debug lights go off.
I see nothing on my screen, it keeps scanning for signal from HDMI 1, HDMI 2 and DP but nothing comes up on the screen.
PSU fan doesn't run (I assume it's because of the low load/temperature)
GPU fan run for 5s then stop (same)
System and CPU fans run fine

I tried remounting the CPU, removing the battery on the MB for 10 mins, loading with 2 RAM, using the MB HDMI port, but nothing made a difference so far.

I would greatly appreciate your help!

What is your cpu cooler?

Try to simplify your initial test.

Use the integrated adapter on the motherboard to take the 3080 out of the issue.

Disconnect your old HDD and ssd.

Install only two ram sticks in the preferred slots.
That will be the two more distant from the cpu.
Do not set any xmp settings.

Clear cmos.

See if you can post to the bios screen.

If you can see the bios screen,

Run memtest86 or memtest86+
They boot from a usb stick and do not use windows.
You can download them here:
If you can run a full pass with NO errors, your ram should be ok.

Running several more passes will sometimes uncover an issue, but it takes more time.
Probably not worth it unless you really suspect a ram issue.

If you are hoping that you can boot into windows from your old C drive, you may
or may not be successful. If coming from an intel system, success is likely, and you will need to install chipset and other motherboard drivers.
If coming from ryzen, it may not work.

I have the same motherboard and there is a quirk in getting lan drivers installed.
You need to install the msi app to download the drivers successfully.
The catch 22 is if you need to do it via lan to load the lan drivers.
I used the wifi connection to get access.

Thanks for your reply.

The CPU cooler is
Noctua NH-U12A chromax.Black, 120mm Single-Tower CPU Cooler (Black)

Same behavior without the GPU and 1 or 2 RAM slotted

When I remove the 2 hard drive I get a constant green light on the boot EZ debug led and still nothing on the screen

I only have a wifi-card plugged in (I tried without it and with the GPU before).

I know 2 of the RAM sticks I am using are working because I carried them from my previous build. I bought an extra of the same 2x8GB for that build

My previous build was intel CPU (i7-9700k) with a Radeon 5700 XT.
I was hoping to boot with windows and clean everything up.
