Custom build evalutation

I'm buying a computer now. I'll be programming and gaming on it (at 1920x1080) . I got a few doubts about the components. Lets get to them

CPU: FX-8350 or Core i5-4790k
GPU: MSI R9 290X Gaming
HDD: 1TB WD 7200 RPM
MOBO: ASRock 990FX AM3 ATX AMD or ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 Socket AM3+ ATX AMD or ASRock Z97 Anniversary Edition LGA 1150 ATX Intel
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 16GB DDR3-1600 (2x8GB sticks)
Power Supply: Corsair CX750
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid Tower ATX

My questions are:

1) As for future proofing my system, should I get the i5 or the FX? If the FX, which mobo? As far as I know, that FX still not outperforms the i5 due to applications not being able to fully utilize the 8 cores of the FX. Is that right?
2) Is the R9 290x worth it? Or should I get a R9 290 and overclock it?
3) Is the power supply enough? It's got a 80 Plus BRONZE certification.
4) If I decide to go for 32 GB of RAM, is there a problem to buy 2 of those Crucial Kits?

1) The i5 is generally a better CPU and can always be upgraded to an i7.
2) Yup just get an r9 290 (non x) , if you can afford it then get a 290x, a 290 can pretty much match a 290x in most games so far.
3) The PSU is enough but I'd change to something a little more robust like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1650xxxb9
4) There should be no problem getting another one of those kits 😀

On questions 2, 3 and 4 I'll say thank you very much.

On question 1:Sure, if I get an i5 I could upgrade to a i7 down the road. But can't a upgrade the 8350 to a 9590 down the road too? Forgive me if it sounds a little bit passive-agressive, it's not suposed to.

1. i5 4690k will last you 4 years roughly so that is quite good, also, if you get a z97 board with it, you don't have to change the motherboard when you want to upgrade to a new chipset, you just update the BIOS on it
