I'm currently pursuing an extensive RGB build and I want to use Asus Aura as my main RGB platform for maximum RGB syncage. I am aware that the NZXT Aer RGB fans are only supposed to be used with Hue+, however, I did some digging around and found that the NZXT Aer RGB Fans use WS2812B LEDs which in theory would be compatible with some of Asus's newer motherboards (ASUS Rog Strix Z370-E Gaming) which have addressable RGB headers with 5V, Data, and Ground. I'm wondering if I could potentially connect all those 3 fans into this addressable header and if Asus Aura Sync would work with that.

Please let me know, thanks in advance to whoever takes the time to help me!

While AER RGB fan LEDs themselves may be compatible with Asus MoBo, the LED wire has proprietary connection on it which is compatible only with HUE+. In other words, you can't connect ARG RGB fan LED wire to your MoBo RGB header. Unless you cut the wire and wire it manually. Then again, do you know the pinout of AER RGB LED wire so you can connect each wire lead with proper RGB header pin on MoBo?

For Aura Sync build, go with the RGB fans that are certified to work with it. Full list here,
