I'm considering these parts from bestbuy

i7-9700K - $299 - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/intel-...ghz-desktop-processor/6302021.p?skuId=6302021

MSI -MPG Z390 Gaming Plus mobo - $114 - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-mp...ard-with-led-lighting/6305798.p?skuId=6305798

PNY 16GB RAM - $64 - https://www.bestbuy.com/site/pny-an...r4-desktop-memory-red/5878702.p?skuId=5878702

This is not for a gaming desktop build. It will be for everyday use, including video/graphics editing and software development. And I hope these parts will be future proof.

I will not buy a Ryzen CPU or even consider it. It has too many compatibility issues with Samsung 860 EVO SSD drives. So please don't suggest it. Thanks.

How is this CPU compared to the i7-9700F? Here's a benchmark comparison. What do you guys think?

I could wait for the comet lake i7 to come out, but it will require a newer model mobo with the newest socket rating and I'm afraid that the total for the CPU, mobo, and RAM will be beyond my budget at that time. Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That GPU will hold back both CPUs. Future proofing is not relevant between these choices. Little, if any, meaningful difference.

The "F" model lacks an integrated video adapter, so you would have to add a video card to the mix. Otherwise, performance differences are insignificant from a user perspective.

I have the Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 Ti (11 year old GPU). So which of the two i7 CPUs I listed is good for this old GPU that won't cause bottle necking?

Is it better to get the 9700F to ensure future proofing?
