I am building my own PC and these are the parts I picked so far:
I7-8700K
Noctua NH-D15S Cooler
Asus Prime B250M-A motherboard
Corsair Vengeance 2400Mhz 16GB RAM
2TB Barracuda HDD
Samsung 960Evo 250GB m.2 SSD (as a boot drive and to install my IDE's)
NoiseBlocker NB-BlackSilent XK2 140mm Cooler
Corsair HD 120 Led Cooler x2
Segotep SG-TG-GR

I currently own a GTX 1050 and an intel i5-6500. Do you think that it is worth it to get the i7 or will the i5 be enough?
I use android studio, visual studio, inkscape, XAMPP for local server some VERY light gaming, and basic email and office work. I do NOT want to sacrifice performance for price, i also dont want to get a component now that i will have to change very soon because i cheaped out on it. Overall, is this too overkill for what i need or is it enough?
Also, i have literally no idea what power supply to choose. Any suggestions?
