Hey guys,
First time poster so please go easy on me.
I built a gaming computer back in December 2015, and was going great up until recently when I spilled coke on it by accident (I know, i'm stupid). This was about a month ago, and since then, the computer was not responding at all, and was not turning on.

So, for the past month, I've left the computer sitting in my house in a corner, and just today, I decided to give it a go, and try and see if it even works. I plugged in the power, and to my surprise, it actually turned on, but then it turned off straight away after 2-3 seconds. And it kept doing this, it would automatically turn on, and off and then on again, and off, in an endless cycle without actually pressing the power button.

So anyway, I was wondering if it's worth maybe replacing the PSU and seeing if thats faulty or is the computer is gone for good and it probably won't work again.

Also some information on the spill, the coke was accidentally spilled from the top (where there is a fan vent) of the computer and must've reached most of the hardware of the computer. I didn't exactly turn it off exactly straight after the spill, and for about two minutes, the computer was working but gave some message about some hardware saying it had stopped working but was recovered successfully. After that, the computer turned off and eventually stopped turning on. That's when I left the computer aside, tried to dry it as best as I could and just let it sit for a month now (may be a bit more than a month). Then just today, I tried to turn it on again, and found this endless cycle of it going on and off.

Computer specs (dunno if its helpful or not but here they are):

- Intel Core i5 6500
- Samsung 850 Pro Series 128GB 2.5in SSD
- Corsair CS750M Modular 80 Plus Gold Power Supply
- Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001
- EVGA GeForce GTX 970 ACX 2.0 4GB
- Corsair Vengeance LPX CMK16GX4M2A2133C13 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 Black
- NZXT S340 Razer Edition Mid Tower Case
- Gigabyte GA-H170-Gaming 3 Motherboard

Any help will be truly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Depends where you spilled the coke.
Very bad/stupid idea to turn on something that has had liquid damage without cleaning it.

You're super-lucky it works at all.

I would disassemble it and look for where any coke got to, and then clean it off with rubbing alcohol or alcohol swabs. Don't use water.

Once you've cleaned where it was short-circuiting you can put it back together and give it a try.
