How much would the above be worth? It's as good as new.

It depends on the buyer. You might get lucky and sell it for $1000 and that would be luck, however when someone is spending that much they expect it to be a new pc. Its a sub $1300 -/+ build. Being a used computer is going to depreciate the value of the parts. I dont want to discredit your build, but I would say in the $800-900 mark.

if it is only slightly used(no gaming or other intense processing) i would offer $750. if everything new out of the box(es) with warranties & packaging intact, $1000.

once those components have been opened up and powered on they lose a decent % of value. if someone is offering to build it for you, tell them you need a better graphics card.

So I have paid $500 for it, it's only been built and windows 10 installed to test/inspect the system.

My old system is:

- Asus P5B Deluxe
- QX9650
- 8GB PC-6400
- GTX 460 1GB
- 256GB SSD

So might think of selling the old one and keeping the new one, or sell the new one and keep the money in the bank :ange:

the SSD, maybe $50 used. the rest together, maybe $100 used. so, maybe $150. best bet would probably be to sell everything separately on Amazon.

new setup looks nice.
if you remove the empty top disk cage you will get significantly better airflow in onto the GPU and other components through that front fan.
the Silencio looks nice but has very little air intake and outtake options. temps should be fine though at stock CPU & GPU speeds. i would replace the front and rear fans with the highest CFM versions possible.

this IS the OP's first build:
- Asus P5B Deluxe
- QX9650
- 8GB PC-6400
- GTX 460 1GB
- 256GB SSD
you would pay ~$400 for this old LGA 775 system from 2007-8?

guessing they are looking to sell it since they now have just purchased the new Z87 i7 system.

I simply don't have enough time anymore to spend behind the computer screen, not playing much games if any.

So was thinking if I could sell the old system and get the cost of the new one, might just simply keep the new one since it's much faster.

The old system full specs as below:
- Asus P5B Deluxe
- QX9650
- 8GB PC-6400
- GTX 460 1GB
- 256GB SSD
- Optical Drive DVD-RW
- Jeantech 700W PSU
- ATX Case
- Zalman cooler
- XFI Fatality SoundBlaster

I could also bundle the Samsung 215TW monitor, can I get anywhere new 500-500$ for it?

you can get a new all-in-one or mini-ITX or even a laptop setup with better specs for ~$500.
minus shipping you may get $50 if someone is looking for replacement parts for a similar setup. or you may get lucky and someone like Dulith1118 who has no idea about updated parts and value takes you up on it for $500, never really know.

i would keep the SSD & DVD-R and donate the rest to a friend's kid or grandmother.
