Hi guys,
I have an interesting problem with my custom built computer. It all went well for 2 months after I built it until yesterday evening when I've switched off my computer (standard Windows shut down) and after about an hour I couldn't turn it on anymore. It gives a little TICK noise and that's it- no fans or system lights.
Turning PSU power switch on/off and then pressing computer power button- again TICK. If not switching off PSU, by pressing power button on case, no more TICK noise- it just does nothing. TICK noise comes just 1x time after switching off/on PSU. Pressed CMOS reset button on the motherboard- straight after I pressed it, got TICK noise and that's it, system is still not powering on. Removed most components from the board- again nothing more than a TICK. Then after a repeated power button pushes computer turned on. I then turned computer off and installed all parts back and the same TICK thing happened again. Fed up and started repeatedly pressing power button (5 or so times in a row) after what computer turned on- and worked fine, updated Windows 10, restarted couple of times and everything worked as usual. But, again, same thing happened this morning- after pressing power button few times PC turned on and now runs normally.
Any ideas of what could cause this issue? Motherboard? PSU?
