Been thinking about selling my custom built PC (primarily used for gaming). It's about ~4 years old. Was just wondering how much I could sell it for (been wandering in the $1000 range). Build a brand new PC with that cash, and throw in a few extra Benjamins to invest in a better GPU, etc. I was also considering just buying a new Ryzen 5 1600 processor and a new mobo (current one is an AM3+, so for the Ryzen it's gonna need an upgrade). What do y'all think?

Specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA- UD7
CPU: AMD FX-8150
GPU: EVGA GTX 1060 3GB
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series (4x4GB) DDR3 2133MHz
HDD: WD Blue 1TB 5400 RPM
SSD: Samsung MZ7TE512HMHP-000L2 512GB (took from a laptop)
Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced Full Tower
PSU: Corsair GS800

Any thoughts?

I would consider $600 for the system at max. This is looking at current pricing and modern alternatives.

CPU worth ~$50
Motherboard $50
Ram $70
Hdd $40
SSD possibly $100
Case + PSU $60
GPU $200
Which adds to $570.

If you do decide to upgrade the CPU to Ryzen, you would also have to upgrade motherboard and ram to ddr4.

You could try listing at $1000, but don't expect immediate takers.
For sure not $1000.

I'm thinking more like $400-$600.

I use to have that motherboard as well. It's pretty old and only support PCI 2.0, duel channel only etc...

Only thing really worth much is the GPU which may bring up the selling worth a little.

Maybe if you are lucky a bidding war on ebay, $700-$800? But thats wishful thinking.

Does this look like a decent build? Team AMD

Do you like how the SPEC-02 looks?

This would be better performing on the GPU side of things.
