So I'm pretty new when It comes to computers but I have a decent knowledge but my custom computer crashed a few days ago. I made a previous post but didn't get much help. So I'm trying again because I have no idea what to do. The computer has been working fine for a year and a half with only one complaint that I can think of. Every now and then when I start it up or shut it off, the fans will spin really fast and make a loud whirring sound. But when the machine is rebooted, the noise goes away. That happens pretty rarely and I never thought it did any damage.
As for the crash that happened a few days ago, it was pretty sudden. I was online with some friends on discord, that, steam and epic games launcher were the only things open at the time. I was about to load up fortnite and the computer shut off. In the middle of me getting into a lobby. There was no blue screen, or any warning, everything just shut off. I tried turning it on again and nothing happened. I tried checking all the cables to make sure they were all plugged in and nothing seemed to be wrong with it. I thought it might be my power supply so I replaced that two days ago with the same result. I left it alone like that until today. In order I tried taking out the graphics card and powering up, nothing happened except for some fan movement, that stopped right after it started. Then I tried removing some ram and see if that was the problem. Still just the fan stuttering. Throughout this whole thing the only constant has been my ethernet cable. When it is plugged in and the power switch on the psu is on, there is a yellow light around the port consistently. That is most that I know about this. I think it's a mobo issue but wanted to check.
Specs:
mobo: Asrock z170 extreme 7+
cpu: intel i7 6700k
psu: Both seem to work fine I think but the old one was an evga supernova g2 750w, and the new one is a corsair cxm 750w
gpu: geforce gtx 980 ti
ram: corsair dominator platinum ddr4, 3200 mhz
That's pretty much all I know, I'm pretty desperate for any help you guys might have. Thank you for reading.
