I have tried to build a custom computer to be used for gaming. i have already come across quite a few problems but i tried to fix them with new parts. now when everything should work it simply does not. The computer will turn on when I press the power button but nothing happens beyond that. No Motherboard beeps, no display. Ive tried using both displayport and hdmi and no display. Everything inside the computer is plugged in. Im thinking the problem might lie in either the power supply or the motherboard but im no expert. Please help

Here are the specifications
Ram Gskill (1gb*2)*2
Motherboard Intel Extreme DP45SG
Gpu Amd Radeon HD 7770 Gygabyte
Cpu Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3GHz
PSU Antec Earthwatts 500 Watt Max

I think thats all i can say, if there is anything left out send me a quick question

At the very top of the motherboard, is the 4-Pin Atx power connected?

At the rear of the Gpu, is the 6-pin power connected?

Yes Both of these are conected, no luck

Yes I have the 4 pin and the 20 pin connected, no luck. yes i think i have brass stand offs under the motherbored but i dont have enough to cover each of the screwholes on the mobo (I have about 6 of them screwed in, and about 4 unscrewed)

Tried the memory in just the blue slots, nothing changed when i turned on the computer, still no beeps, still no display.

Yes I remember being able to lock the cpu in place with the leaver when i originally placed it in the mother boared.

Could try the other pci slot for the graphics card. At this point im not sure, it could be the psu but the computer turns on and 500w is enough for the video card.

Could be the video card not seated properly or possibly the monitor you're using might have a digital/analog toggle button and is currently set to receive an analog signal which there would be none if using hdmi/dp being digital.

I tried the other video-card slot but still the same, no display no beeps. I am testing the desktop on a hd tv, so I do not believe there is a toggle option. I made sure i was on the right hdmi input on the tv. Is it likely at this point that I might have ESD(electro static discharge) one or more of my parts?
